The Dell Rapids Quarriers (9-2) notched another Dak-12 Conference win on Thursday, January 26th. The Quarriers defeated the Vermillion Tanagers 69-48.
Dell Rapids took control early and held a comfortable lead throughout the game. The Quarriers led 16-11 at the end of the first quarter and pushed the lead to 38-28 at halftime. Both teams scored 10 points in the third quarter as Dell Rapids led 48-38. Dell Rapids then outscored Vermillion 21-10 in the final quarter in the win.
The Quarriers shot 55% (29-53) overall, 32% (8-25) from three-point area, and 3-3 from the free-throw line. Vermillion was 39% (20-52) shooting overall, 4-13 on three-point attempts, and 4-7 from the free-throw line.
Brayden Pankonen had 25 points, three rebounds, seven assists, and six steals. Jack Henry finished with 16 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Tad Tjaded added 12 points and seven rebounds. Rhett Kloth had six points, seven rebounds, and four blocked shots. Camden Justice also had six points and four assists.
