The 2022-2023 Dell Rapids Quarrier boys basketball team welcomes a familiar face to the program this season. Ty Hoglund, a 2016 Dell Rapids graduate and Quarrier basketball standout, takes over as head coach this year.
Dell Rapids finished last year with a 15-7 record falling to Sioux Falls Christian in the Region 3A tournament to end their season. The Quarriers lost three seniors from last year’s team, but will still be a veteran team. The top two scorers from last season, Brayden Pankonen and Jack Henry, return this year along with about 10 seniors.
“I am really looking forward to the length and speed we are able to put on the court this year. We have some big time dudes that love the game oof basketball and are going to play extremely hard every night we take the court. The Quarriers will look to push the ball in transition and value every possession. We are very excited for the upcoming season,” said Hoglund.
Dell Rapids opens the 2022-2023 season at home against West Central on Friday, December 9th.
