The Dell Rapids Quarrier volleyball team bounced back from a season-opening loss and earned a straight-set road win against the West Central Trojans on Thursday, August 25th.
The two teams opened the match with a close first set. The Quarriers took the win by a 25-22 score. Dell Rapids was able to carry momentum with them throughout the second set and cruised to a 25-14 win. The third set was a little closer, but again Dell Rapids got the win, 25-19, to earn their first match win of the season.
Maddie Henry had a team-high 19 kills. Lauryn Kloth finished with eight, and Sophi Randall and Kylee Fiddelke both had five kills each. Fiddelke had her serve working all night as she recorded five ace serves. Clara Justice finished with a team-high three blocks up front for Dell Rapids. Alaina Wolff had 12 digs. Fiddelke and Henry each had seven digs, and Randall tallied six. Randall had 27 set assists on the night.
Dell Rapids (1-1) will play in the Canton Tournament on Saturday, August 27th.
