Trojans Girls Soccer Remains Undefeated, Boys Fall to Yankton

The West Central Trojan girls soccer team won three matches in a span of five days, while the boys soccer team lost their second match of the season.

Girls Soccer Earns Three Shutouts

The Trojan girls soccer team has yet to allow a goal as they earned three more shutout wins.  On Thursday, August 18th, West Central hosted Vermillion.  The Trojans got two goals in each of the two halves for a 4-0 win.

West Central then had their first road match of the season on Saturday, August 20th.  The Trojans traveled to Watertown and got the lone goal of the match in the second half for the 1-0 win.

Their third win came at home on Monday, August 22nd.  The Trojans hosted another AA school, the Yankton Bucks, and earned a 4-0 win.  West Central got three goals in the first half and led 3-0 at halftime.  They got another goal in the second half.

Boys Soccer Drops Second Match of Season

The Trojan boys soccer team had their second match of the season at home on Monday, August 22nd.  West Central boys also hosted the Yankton Bucks.  Yankton got five goals in the first half and three more in the second for an 8-0 win.

The girls team will host Belle Fourche on Friday, August 26th and St Thomas More on Saturday, August 27th.  The boys team will travel to Sioux Falls Christian on Saturday, August 27th.
