Wood Ducks Roll Past Flandreau Blue Teal

The Hartford/Humboldt Wood Ducks rolled to a 14-3 win in seven innings at home over the Flandreau Blue Teal on Sunday, June 28th.

The Wood Ducks scored a run in the bottom of the first for an early 1-0 lead.  The Blue Teal tied the game, 1-1, with a run in the top of the third.  The Wood Ducks then scored three runs in their half of the third, eight more in the fourth, and another two in the fifth for a 14-1 lead.   The Blue Teal scored a run in the sixth and seventh innings, but the game ended on the 10-run rule after the top of the seventh.

Loren Jacobson finished with three hits, one a triple, and three RBIs.  Jearl Jesson also had three hits, one a double, and thee RBIs.  Drew Eldeen had a single and double with two RBIs.  Brody Jacobson had two hits and an RBI.  Braden Odegaard also had two hits.  Chad Hunt had a single and three RBIs.  Logan Larsen added a double.  Curtis Flint and Rob Lind both had a hit, and Jacob Ellens also had an RBI.

Flint pitched five innings and allowed an unearned run on a hit and five walks with nine strikeouts.
