Parker Uses Big First Inning in Win over West Central 17U Gold

West Central 17U Gold fell to Parker by a score of 20-5 on Wednesday, July 2nd.  Parker used a big first inning to help them to their win.

West Central put a pretty big number on the board in the first inning and took a 4-0 lead.  Parker, however, rallied for 10 runs in the bottom of the inning for a 10-4 lead.  They added two more runs in the second.  West Central got one more run in the third, but Parker had three in the third and then scored five times in the bottom of the fourth to end the game on the 15-run rule.

Andrew Holtzman had two hits.  Jett Whiting finished with a single and two RBIs.  Taylan Sichmeller added a triple.  Jacob Mallinger and Braylon Robbins each had a single.  Whiting pitched 1/3 of an inning and allowed eight runs, four earned, on two hits and four walks.  Sichmeller pitched two innings and allowed seven runs, three earned, on three hits and six walks with four strikeouts.  Kash Garry threw 2/3 of an inning and allowed five earned runs on two hits and three walks with one strikeout.
