Humboldt/Hartford started the top of the seventh with a triple and double, scoring a run to pull within a run, but Baltic/Colton stopped the rally and held for a 7-6 win on Thursday, July 11th.
Baltic/Colton scored the first three runs of the game. They scored one in the bottom of the first and two in the second for a 3-0 lead. Humboldt/Hartford took the lead in the top of the third with five runs. Baltic/Colton got one back in the bottom of the inning for a 5-4 score. They would go back in the lead, 7-5, with three in the bottom of the fifth. The score remained 7-5 until the top of the seventh before Humboldt/Hartford scored a run.
Rayce Whiting had three hits, one a double, and an RBI. Brodie Herr had two doubles and two RBIs. Hayden Whiting added a single and two RBIs. Cain Grocott finished with a single and an RBI. Jesse Jost, Will Nester, and Lando Whiting all had one hit each. Nester pitched 2 1/3 innings and allowed four runs, two earned, on three hits and four walks. Jost pitched 3 2/3 innings and allowed three runs, two earned, on a hit and two walks with two strikeouts.
