The West Central 14U Royal team lost two games at home on Wednesday, July 3rd. West Central played both Volga Navy and Volga White.
Volga Navy 3, West Central Royal 2
Volga Navy grabbed the lead in the top of the third and held for the 3-2 win in five innings. They scored one run in the top of the first for a 1-0 lead. West Central got two runs in the bottom of the second to take a 2-1 lead. Volga then scored twice in the top of the third.
Cooper B had a single and two RBIs. Noah E had a single as well. Noah E pitched 3 2/3 innings and allowed three runs, two earned, on two hits and seven walks with three strikeouts. Carson E pitched 1 1/3 innings and allowed one hit and two walks with two strikeouts.
Volga White 11, West Central Royal 5
In the second game of the day, Volga White scored four runs in the top of the first inning. West Central responded with two runs to make the score 4-2. Volga then scored two in the second and five more in the third for an 11-2 advantage. West Central added three runs in the bottom of the third.
Eli K finished with two singles. Kane G, Carson E, and Dean A all had one single and one RBI each. Cooper B had one hit, and Chase S had an RBI.
