West Central Baseball Evens Record with Big Win

The West Central high school baseball team evened their record at 3-3 with a 15-1 win over Garretson on Wednesday, May 1st.

Garretson scored the first run of the game in the top of the first inning, but then it was all West Central the rest of the game.  West Central got three runs in the bottom of the first and six in the bottom of the second for a 9-1 lead.  They would add six more runs in the bottom of the fourth.  West Central only had six hits in the game, but took advantage of seven Garretson errors and 10 walks.

Rayce Whiting had two hits and an RBI.  Brodie Herr and Caden Alfson both had a single and two RBIs each.  Karsono Vessells and Maison Schuldt each had a hit.  Gunner Alfson had three RBIs.  Anthony Lanham added two RBIs, and Landen Holewa had one RBI.  Lanham pitched fourth innings and allowed an unearned run on three hits and a walk with six strikeouts.  Vessells pitched an inning and allowed a walk with two strikeouts.
