West Central Baseball Wins Third Straight

The West Central high school baseball team won their third straight game after a 13-0 win over Hanson on Sunday, May 5th.

The game was scoreless until the top of the fourth inning.  West Central scored one run in the inning and then two more in the top of the fifth for a 3-0 lead.  A big inning came in the top of the seventh when West Central scored 10 times to put the game completely out of reach.

Karson Vessells had two hits, one a double, and an RBI.  Anthony Lanham also had two hits and an RBI.  Rayce Whiting added a single and four RBIs. Landen Holewa and Gunnar Alfson had a single and two RBIs each.  Brodie Herr added a single.  Lanham pitched three innings and allowed a hit and walk with two strikeouts.  Herr pitched four innings and allowed three hits and three walks with four strikeouts.
