The 2024 West Central Trojan girls track team will be led by a large class of seniors that are good leaders and have been with the program for six years. They are looking to improve on last season’s fifth place finish at the state meet as a team.
Clara Nelson, Drew Caffrey, Hadley Larson, Jazelle Jarding, Ryenn Caffrey, and Sadie Berg are all returning seniors that were big contributors in the last four plus years according to head coach Janel Merkwan.
“I am so excited to see this group of girls work together and compete together. It is a well rounded group of girls that all contribute in their own ways and compete in a variety of events. We also have some great younger ladies coming up that have the potential to make some waves and step up and place at the state meet in May,” added Merkwan.
