The West Central Trojan boys season came to an end in the the second round of the Region 3A tournament on Friday, March 1st. The Sioux Falls Christian Chargers defeated the Trojans 65-50.
The Chargers started the game on an 8-0 run in the first two minutes and kept the lead the entire game. The first quarter ended with the Chargers leading 21-11. The Trojans cut into the lead in the second quarter, but just by two points. The Chargers led 30-22 at halftime. Sioux Falls Christian extended their lead to 48-31 with 2:20 to play in the third quarter. Anytime the Trojans made a small run the rest of the game, the Chargers had an answer. The third quarter ended with Sioux Falls Christian leading 51-35.
Crew Heier had 19 points and four rebounds. Paden Schulte finished with 12 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Will Kuhl had six points and four rebounds. Connor Mebius added four points and two assists.
