Trojan Boys Basketball Set Sights on Improvement in 2024-2025

The West Central Trojan boys basketball team hopes to improve on a 12-10 record from a year ago this season.  The Trojans are looking to get back to the state tournament for the first time since 2001.

Head coach Jacob Sitting said, “This team has a chance to be very good.  If you want to have a great team, you need to have both inside and outside threats on offense, and this team has that.  We plan to play fast on offense, getting the ball up the floor quick and looking for the first great shot we can get.  If everything comes together, this team could finish in the top third of the Dak XII Conference and make a run at the SoDak 16 and a state tournament bid.”

West Central returns sophomore Connor Mebius, junior Will Kuhl, and senior Carter Tetzlaff.  They will be joined by newcomers junior Kolte Garry, senior Luke Knight, and senior Liam Schmeichel.   Seniors Bennett Ingalls and Anthony Lanham along with juniors Bubba Kono and Carter Gross will look to earn playing time this season.

The Trojans will travel to Dell Rapids on December 13th to start the 2024-2025 season.
