West Central Boys Soccer Earns Draw Against Groton

The West Central Trojan boys soccer team earned a 2-2 draw against the Groton Tigers at home on Saturday, September 5th.

The Trojans scored a goal in the first half with 16:40 to play.  Brody Johnson found the back of the net for the 1-0 lead.  The score remained 1-0 at halftime.  West Central got another goal with 18:44 left in the match.  Peyton Barrick scored on an assist from Johnson to give the Trojans a 2-0 lead.

They remained in front 2-0 until 3:51 to go.  Using heavy pressure late in the match, Groton got a goal to cut the lead in half, 2-1.  The Tigers continued to apply heavy offensive pressure to try to get the equalizing goal.  They were able to do just that with :45 remaining to get the 2-2 draw.
