The West Central high school baseball team was shut out by Lennox at home on Friday, April 11th by a score of 6-0.
Lennox scored three times right away in the top of the first inning for an early 3-0 lead. They would remain in front 3-0 until the top of the fourth. Lennox would had single runs in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings to increase their lead to 6-0. Lennox only had two hits in the game, but they took advantage of 11 walks.
Beckett Everson had two hits in the game for West Central. Gunnar Alfson, Keaton Vessells, and Ashton Gebhardt all had one single each. G. Alfson pitched 3 1/3 innings and allowed an earned run on a hit and three walks with seven strikeouts. CJ DenBoer pitched two innings and allowed two unearned runs on a hit and three walks with four strikeouts. Caden Alfson pitched an inning and allowed a walk with two strikeouts. Everson threw 2/3 of an inning and allowed three earned runs on four walks with two strikeouts.
