The West Central Trojan track team took part in the Ruth Marske Invitational held on the campus of South Dakota State University on Saturday, March 29th.
The girls 4x800m relay team of Aubrey Borns, Addison Jaspers, Sarah Johnson, and Lucy Rozeboom placed fourth with a time of 10:37.19. The 4x400m relay team of Baylee Poss, Maelee Krempges, Bailey Stallman, and Borns finished 10th in a time of 4:31.04. The 4x200m relay team of Avery Pressler, Vera Jesse, Abbi Thornton, and Poss took 11th in 1:52.17. Mara Schultz had an 11th-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 9.88m. Thornton was 14th in the long jump with a jump of 4.52m. Holly Berg was 15th in the triple jump with a leap of 9.13m.
Zach Nielsen was seventh in the high jump with a jump of 1.88m. Patrick Hammond had two top 10 finishes. Hammond took eighth in the 400m dash with a time of :53.02. He was ninth in the 200m dash in :23.67. Peyton Tetzlaff took 11th in the 3200m run in 10:06.38. Jonathan Roth was 13th in the 800m run in 2:04.92. Roth also finished 14th in the 1600m run in a time of 4:33.58. Tetzlaff was 15th in the 1600m run in 4:36.48. The 4x200m relay team of PReston Butts, Chase Stromer, Dominic Butts, and Brody Johnson was 13th in 1:37.42. The 4x400m relay team of Johnson, P. Butts, Braylon Viergutz, and D. Butts also placed 13th with a time of 3:50.14.
