Sioux Falls Christian Ends West Central Football Season

The West Central Trojan football season came to an end in the 11A semifinals on Friday, November 8th.  The Trojans fell to #1 Sioux Falls Christian 31-7.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Chargers got on the board with 9:38 to play in the second quarter on a 38-yard touchdown pass.  The made extra point gave Sioux Falls Christian a 7-0 lead.  The Chargers would score again with 3:23 left in the half on a 10-yard pass.  The extra point extended the lead to 14-0.  West Central was working on driving down the field on their next drive, but the Chargers got an interception.  They would take advantage of that interception.  The Chargers scored on a 35-yard touchdown pass with 1:06 to go in second quarter.  Sioux Falls Christian would take a 21-0 lead into halftime.

The third quarter was scoreless as well, and the Chargers led 21-0 going into the fourth quarter.  Sioux Falls Christian would then score on the very first play of the fourth quarter.  The lead grew to 28-0 after a 43-yard touchdown pass.  Sioux Falls Christian would add a 33-yard field goal with 5:05 to play in the game to make the score 31-0.  Karsen Wilde scored the only touchdown for the Trojans on a 23-yard run.  Jonathan Goehring made the extra point.

West Central finished the season with an overall record of 7-4.
