West Central Football Wins Regular Season Finale

The West Central Trojan football team won their final regular season game of the year at home on Thursday, October 24th.  The Trojans defeated the Vermillion Tanagers 43-6.  West Central scored all 43 of their points before Vermillion got a late touchdown.

There was only one score in the first quarter.  Keaton Vessells had a five-yard touchdown run with 7:02 to go in the quarter.  Jonathan Goehring made the extra point for a 7-0 lead.  West Central scored three touchdowns in the second quarter.  With 9:57 to go, Vessells scored again on a 12-yard run.  Karsen Wilde had a seven-yard touchdown run with 4:24 to play in the half.  Aiden Bartmann added a 14-yard touchdown run with 1:09 remaining in the half.  Goehring made all three extra points, and the Trojans led 28-0 at halftime.

Vessells had his third touchdown of the game with 7:32 to play in the third quarter on a 21-yard run.  The extra point was good to make the score 35-0.  Patrick Hammond scored on a 17-yard run with 4:15 to play in the third quarter.  A two-point conversion was scored by Evan Jaton to make the score 43-0.  Vermillion scored on a 20-yard pass with 3:19 left in the game.
