Individual State Champ Returns for Trojan Boys Golf Team

Anthony Lanham returns for his senior season and looks to defend his State A title this year for the West Central Trojan boys golf team.  Lanham was the first individual state golf champion in school history.

Lanham is joined by fellow senior Kamden Zomer who placed 18th in last year’s state tournament.  Sophomore Connor Mebius also returns after finishing 39th in the state tournament.  Junior Karson Olson, sophomores Dylan Bettcher and Gunnar Alfson, and 8th grader Aiden Lanham will also be key players in 2024.

“The pressure will be on as we host the state tournament this season at the Central Valley Golf Course in Hartford. Our boys will be up to the challenge though. Anthony will try to defend his individual state title, while the team fights to knock off two-time defending state champion Vermillion, who returns everyone again. Dakota Valley will also have a very formidable team who will challenge for a team state title,” said head coach Jacob Sittig.
