West Central Gold 14U hit the road to Volga on Tuesday, July 9th. Volga Navy picked up the win by a score of 20-7.
West Central scored one run in the top of the first, but Volga scored four runs in the bottom of the inning for a 4-1 lead. Volga added another run in the bottom of the second. West Central tied the game, 5-5, with four runs in the top of the third. Volga, however, scored nine times to go ahead 14-5. West Central had a run in the top of the fourth, but Volga had a six-run fourth inning for a 20-6 lead. The final run for West Central came in the top of the fifth before the game ended on the 10-run rule.
Maddax Jackson had three hits in the game. Luke Larson had a hit and two RBIs. Davin Leuning added a hit and RBI. Jacob Phillips had one hit, and Brenden Warne finished with an RBI.
