The West Central Trojan volleyball team traveled to Chester to play the Class B #2 ranked Flyers on Tuesday, October 10th. The Flyers won the match in straight sets by scores of 25-11, 25-6, and 25-12.
West Central started the first set on a 4-2 run. Chester tied the score at 5-5, and then the Flyers went on a 5-1 run for a 10-6 lead. They were able to extend the lead to 18-8 and then finished the set on a 7-3 run.
The Flyers started the second set on a 5-2 run. Chester extended their lead to 12-6 and then finished on a 13-0 run for a 25-6 win. The Flyers then scored the first 14 points of the third set to complete a 27-0 run over the two sets. West Central cut the lead to 18-8, but Chester took the third set 25-12.
Kaia Gabbert had four kills and an assisted block. Marissa Dobbs had three kills, four set assists, and an assisted block. Adi Bartman also had three kills. Jocelyn Nilson finished with 25 digs and three set assists. Landry Heath had seven digs, and Ellie Lienhard had three set assists.
