West Central Volleyball Looking to Improve in 2023

The West Central Trojan volleyball team is looking to improve on last season’s 5-17 record this year.  The Trojans will have a strong core group of players to lead the team.

Jocelyn Nilson will be the libro again this year.  Offensively, the Trojans will have three senior hitters, Kaia Gabbert, Marissa Dobbs, and Adddison Meadors.  Landry Heath and Ellie Lienhard will help with their strong serves this year.

“I expect great things from the team this year.  We are more familiar and closer with one another, which will hopefully translate into great teamwork on the court.  Our experience from older players as well as new talent should help this year go better than the last,” said head coach Corissa Sweeter.

The Trojans start the 2023 season with two road matches.  They travel to Vermillion on Tuesday, August 22nd and then to Dell Rapids on Thursday, August 24th.  The first home match will be on Tuesday, August 29th against Tea.
