West Central Volleyball Falls to Chargers in Region 3A Tournament

The West Central Trojan volleyball team had their season come to an end at the Region 3A tournament against Sioux Falls Christian on Tuesday, November 1st.  The Trojans fell to the top-seeded Chargers in straight sets.

The Chargers took an early 7-1 lead in the opening set.  Sioux Falls Christian pushed the lead to 18-6 before the Chargers won the match 25-10.  West Central had an early 3-1 lead in the second set.  The two teams went back and forth and were tied 12-12.  The Chargers, however, finished the set on a 13-2 run to win 25-14.  Sioux Falls Christian took that momentum and built a 7-0 lead to start the third set.  West Central was only able to cut into the lead by a point, 14-8, as the Chargers won the final set 25-11.

Addison Meaders had three kills.  Aubree Miller and Marissa Dobbs both had had two kills each.  Jocelyn Nilson had a team-high 16 digs.  Josephine Dinges and Dobbs each had a block.  Ellie Leinhard finished with five set assists, and Miller added four.

The Trojans season ends with an overall record of 5-17.
