Gamecocks Headed to State Tournament

The Humboldt/Hartford Gamecocks will be heading to the 2023 South Dakota Amateur State B Tournament in Mitchell.  The Gamecocks qualified for state with a win in their third game at the District 4B Tournament in Flandreau on Thursday, July 27th.  They defeated the Salem Cubs with a walk-off in a back-and-forth game by a score of 16-15.

Loren Jacobson had the game winning hit for the Gamecocks.  Broc Haldeman and Brandon McKnight both had three hits each.  Oscar Pravececk and Noah Vettrus each had a home run in the game.

The Gamecocks will play the Crofton Blue Jays in their opening round game of the state tournament at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 5th.
