The West Central Trojan track teams placed well at the Dak-12 Conference meet in Vermillion on Thursday, May 11th.
Molli Thornton finished second in the 200m dash and third in the long jump. The 4x200m relay team of Baylee Poss, Rayna Goehring, Alexa Borns, and Thornton finished second. Cambell Fischer placed third in the shot put. The 4x100m relay team of Poss, R. Goehring, Tessa VanOverbeke, and Thornton finished third. Borns placed fourth in the 400m dash. The 4x400m relay team of Borns, Clara Nelson, Maya Van Hyfte, and Poss placed fourth. The 4x800m relay team of Peters, Jazelle Jarding, Cambree Ideker, and Bailey Stallman finished fourth. Stallman was fifth in the 800m run. Brie Peters also placed fifth in the 1600m run. R. Goehring was fifth in the 200m dash. The sprint medley relay team of VanOverbeke, Avery Pressler, Ideker, and Jarding finished fifth.
The 4x200m relay team of Mason Berens, Carter Schmeichel, Wyatt Nielsen, and Layton Johnson took first place. Liam Schmeichel was second in the 110m hurdles and fourth in the high jump. Johnson placed second in the 100m dash and fifth in the 200m dash. Jude Jarding took second in the 400m dash. The 4x400m relay team of Johnson, Elliot DeJong, C. Schmeichel, and Jarding placed second. Nielsen was third in the 100m dash, third in the 400m dash, and fourth in the 200m dash. The sprint medley relay team of Preston Butts, Berens, DeJong, and Patrick Hammond finished third. Benjamin Strunk was fourth in the 3200m run and fifth in the 1600m run. The 4x800m relay team of Hammond, Jarding, Jonathan Roth, and Strunk took fourth. Carter Schmeichel placed fifth in the 400m dash.
