West Central Girls Advance in Region 3A with Tenth Straight Win

The West Central Trojans (14-7) won their tenth straight game and advanced in the Region 3A tournament after a 64-30 win over the Madison Bulldogs on Monday, February 20th.

The Trojans led from start to finish in the game.  They ended the first quarter leading 16-6, and then the defense held the Bulldogs to just three points in the second quarter.  West Central led 33-9 at halftime.  The Trojans outscored Madison 18-7 in the third quarter for a 51-16 lead going into the fourth quarter.  The West Central Trojan defense shined in the game as they had 18 steals as a team.

Tessa VanOverbeke had 12 points, two rebounds, and two steals.  Jazelle Jarding finished with 10 points, three rebounds, four assists, and four steals.  Cambell Fischer had nine points, 10 rebounds, and four assists.  Mollie Thornton also had nine points and two steals.
