Trojans Rally in Fourth for Seventh Straight Win

The West Central Trojans (11-7) put together a string of three point shots in the fourth quarter to propel them to a 48-37 win over the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies on Monday, February 13th.   The marked the seventh straight win for the Trojans.

The first three quarters of the game were played close.  West Central did hold a 10-5 lead at the end of the first quarter, but the Huskies cut the lead to 19-17 by halftime.  The third quarter went back and forth, and the quarter came to an end in a 30-30 tie.  In the fourth quarter, the Trojans made three pointers on three consecutive possessions to build a nine-point lead.  They rode that momentum for the win.

Molli Thornton finished with 16 points, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Jazelle Jarding had 11 points and five rebounds.  Alexa Borns added five points and two rebounds.  Aubree Miller had four points and four rebounds, and Molly Anderson had four points, two assists, and two steals.
