The West Central Trojans (6-9) ran into a tough Sioux Valley team on Thursday, February 9th. The #2 ranked Cossacks defeated the Trojans 68-30.
West Central was held to single digit scoring in each of the four quarters. Sioux Valley led 11-6 at the end of the first quarter and then 34-13 at halftime. The Cossacks outscored the Trojans 24-17 in the second half.
The Trojans shot just 20% (11-56) overall from the field, 12% (3-25) from three-point area, and 56% (5-11) from the free-throw line. Sioux Valle was 51% (29-57) shooting overall, 29% (9-31) on three-point attempts, and 25% (1-4) from the free-throw line.
Crew Heier finished with seven points and six rebounds. Carter Schmeichel had six points and three rebounds. Dylan Stromer and Trevin Price both ended with five points each.
