The West Central Trojans (7-9) held off the Madison Bulldogs, 47-44, at home on Friday, February 10th in a defensive battle.
West Central built a 12-11 lead by the end of the first quarter. They were able to grow that lead to 25-20 by halftime. The lead stayed about that margin for most of the third quarter. The Trojans led 41-35 going into the fourth quarter. Madison held the Trojans to just three points for over seven minutes and pulled within a point, 45-44, with :42 to go. The Trojans made two free throws late in the game to lead 47-44. The Bulldogs half court shot at the buzzer was no good.
Trevin Price had 13 points and two rebounds. Brodie Herr had nine points, five rebounds, and two assists. Connor Eich had eight points and two rebounds. Erik Seten ended with five points. Carter Schmeichel had four points, six rebounds, and four assists. Owen Heath also had four points with three rebounds.
