Upperclassmen to Lead the Way for 2022 Trojan Football Team

The West Central Trojan football team finished the 2021 season with a 4-6 record, but that record was deceiving.  The Trojans lost four of their six games by a combined 13 points.  This year’s team is looking to turn those closes losses into wins in a new-look 2022 schedule.

West Central will have three new opponents to their schedule while dropping a couple of familiar teams.  The Trojans will not play Tea or Dell Rapids this season and add Tri-Valley and Winner to the schedule.  They will also play Custer this year.

The Trojans will be a veteran team this year.  West Central welcomes back 21 seniors and 13 juniors in 2022.

West Central will play four of their first five games at home.  The season starts at home against Custer on Saturday, August 27th.  They follow with a home game against Sioux Falls Christian on Friday, September 2nd.  They head to Madison on September 9th, and then have back-to-back home games against Vermillion and Canton in the first half of the season.
