The Tri-Valley Mustang volleyball team hosted the Dell Rapids Quarriers on Thursday, September 14th. The Quarriers won in straight sets by scores of 25-19, 25-10, and 25-8.
The start of the match was back and forth with the two teams battling to tie scores of 4-4 and 8-8. Dell Rapids went on a 5-1 run fro a 13-9 lead. The lead slowly grew to 19-12. Tri-Valley got the lead down to five, 23-18, but the Quarriers took the first set 25-19.
Dell Rapids got out to a 5-1 lead to start the second set. Tri-Valley responded with a 7-1 run to go ahead 8-6. The Quarriers completely took control of the match with a 12-0 run to go ahead 18-8. They finished the second set 25-10. Dell Rapids continued that momentum into the third set. They started with a 7-2 lead, extended it 14-3, and cruised to a 25-8 victory.
