The Baltic 14U baseball team held a 9-6 lead late in the game, but Tri-Valley Maroon scored four times in the bottom of the sixth for a 10-9 win on Friday, June 23rd.
Baltic scored the first run of the game in the top of the first inning. Tri-Valley scored four times in the bottom of the first for a 4-1 lead. Baltic rallied themselves scoring two times in the top of the second and three in the top of the third for a 6-4 lead. Tri-Valley tied the game with two runs in the bottom of the third. Baltic again went ahead with two runs in the top of the first and one more in the top of the sixth for a 9-6 lead. Tri-Valley Maroon had their second four-run inning in the bottom of the sixth to regain the lead 10-9. They would strand the trying run on third base in the top of the seventh for the win.
Lawson Schneiderman had a triple and three RBIs. Owen Bunde finished with a single and an RBI. Sullivan Snethen added a double. Cooper Durick, Abbott Moeller, and Evan Focken all had a single in the game. Cooper Nielsen pitched 1 1/3 innings and allowed three earned runs on four walks with a strikeout. Durick pitched two innings and allowed three runs, two earned, on a hit and three walks with five strikeouts. Schneiderman pitched three innings allowing an earned run on four hits and a walk with five strikeouts. Parker Atwood pitched 2/3 of an inning and allowed two earned runs on a hit and a walk.
