Tri-Valley Maroon 14U traveled to Dell Rapids to play Dell Rapids 14U on Monday, June 26th. After going back and forth in the first few innings, Dell Rapids scored a run late to take a 5-4 win.
Abbott Moeller had an RBI single, Jaxson Rise had an RBI ground out, and Treyson Richter scored on a passed ball all in the top of the first to give Tri-Valley a 3-0 lead. Dell Rapids tied the the game with three runs in the bottom of the second. Richter had an RBI single in the top of the third to take the lead again, 4-3. Dell Rapids again tied the game with a run in the bottom of the third. The score remained 4-4 until the bottom of the sixth. Dell Rapids got an RBI single with two outs to take a 5-4 lead. Tri-Valley went down in order in the top of the seventh.
Moeller and Richter each had a single and an RBI. Kobe Krome also had a hit. Rise ended with an RBI. Moeller pitched six innings and allowed five runs, two earned, on six hits and six walks.
