Tri-Valley Girls Cruise to Win in Madison

The Tri-Valley Mustang girls basketball team cruised back into the win column with a 51-20 road win against the Madison Bulldogs on Tuesday, December 12th.

The Mustang defense was the star of the game as they held Madison to single digit scoring in every quarter.  Tri-Valley led 15-6 at the end of the first quarter, 23-7 at halftime, and then 40-12 at the end of the third quarter.

As a team Tri-Valley shot 37% (17-46) overall from the field, 36% (9-25) on three-point attempts, and, and 8-9 from the free-throw line.  Madison was 22% (7-32) shooting overall, 36% (4-11) from three-point area, and 2-6 from the free-throw line.  The Mustang defense forced 24 Madison turnovers in the game.

Lauren Grinde had 15 points, three rebounds, three steals, and three assists.  Mattie Huwe added 14 points, two rebounds, and two steals.  Hillary Hastings finished with six points and four rebounds.
