Tri-Valley Boys Win Second Straight

The Tri-Valley Mustang boys basketball team won their second straight game and third overall on Thursday, January 4th.  The Mustangs cruised to a 67-34 win over the Mt Vernon/Plankinton Titans.

Tri-Valley outscored the Titans in every quarter of the game and never trailed.  The Mustangs led 14-10 at the end of the first quarter and extended the lead to 33-19 at halftime.  The lead grew again in the third quarter, and Tri-Valley led 49-29 going into the final quarter.  Tri-Valley outscored Mt Vernon/Plankinton 18-5 in the final quarter.

The Mustangs shot 43% (29-67) overall in the game, 20% (4-20) on three-point attempts, and 5-8 from the free-throw line.  The Titans shot just 20% (11-55) overall in the game, just 1-20 from three-point area, and 65% (11-17) from the free-throw line.

Nine different players scored in the game for Tri-Valley.  Trey Johnson had 18 points, 17 rebounds, five steals, and four blocked shots.  Brady Jewett had 14 points, four rebounds, and two steals.  Logan Ellison added 10 points, three rebounds, and four assists.  Isaac Langloss had seven points and seven rebounds, and Tristen Bunde had six points and three rebounds.
