Tri-Valley Boys Can’t Overcome First Half

The Tri-Valley Mustang boys basketball team couldn’t overcome a first half deficit in a 66-58 loss to the Deubrook Dolphins on Tuesday, January 16th.

The Dolphins held Tri-Valley to just six first quarter points and led 13-6.  They extended their lead to 36-22 by halftime.  The Mustangs tried to climb out of the deficit in the second half.  Tri-Valley cut the lead to 47-36 by the end of the third quarter.  The Mustangs did outscore Deubrook 22-19 in the fourth quarter.

Trey Johnson finished with 16 points, six rebounds, and three assists.  Alex Wingen ended with 12 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Tristen Bunde had 10 points, six rebounds, and two steals.  Brady Jewett ended with seven points.
