Mustangs Fall in High Scoring Shootout

The Tri-Valley Mustangs took a loss at home to the Baltic Bulldogs in a high-scoring shootout.  The Bulldogs defeated the Mustangs 87-72 on Monday, February 19th.

The two teams combined for 50 points in the opening quarter.  Baltic held a 29-21 advantage going into the second quarter.  They were able to extend that lead to 11 points, 50-39, at halftime.  The Mustangs made a run in the third quarter and pulled with in two points, 64-62, going into the fourth.  Tri-Valley tied the score 64-64 early in the fourth quarter.  Baltic responded with a 14-4 run for a 78-68 lead and put them ahead for good in the win.

Trey Johnson had 23 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists.  Logan Ellison added 19 points.  Brady Jewett finished with 18 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Carter Sorenson ended with six points and eight rebounds.
