The Tri-Valley Mustang volleyball team traveled to Parkston on Monday, September 25th. The Trojans defeated the Mustangs in straight sets by scores of 25-13, 25-22, and 25-20.
Parkston led from start to finish in the opening set. They started with a 4-1 lead and slowly extended the lead to 18-8. Tri-Valley scored three in a row, but the Trojans ended the set on a 7-2 run. The Trojans started the second set with a 6-3 lead. Again they extended the lead, this time to 17-11. The Mustangs went on a 5-0 run and then tied the score 18-18. Parkston responded with a 6-2 run for a 24-20 lead, and then finished with a 25-22 win. The Trojans then went on to win the third set 25-20.
Madelyn Wenzel had nine kills. Hillary Hastings finished with six kills. Abigal Wagner added 18 set assists and dix digs. Julie Mauszycki had 14 digs. Lauren Grinde and Cheyenne Hanson both had seven digs each.
