Mustang Girls Drop Second Game on Back-to-Back Nights

The Tri-Valley Mustangs traveled to Flandreau to play in their second straight road game in as many nights on Friday, January 10th.  Two quarters of the game proved to be the difference for the Fliers as they earned a 46-31 win.

Flandreau held a slim 7-6 lead after the first quarter of play.  The Fliers would then outscore Tri-Valley 14-6 in the second quarter for a 21-12 halftime lead.  The Mustangs would cut into the Flier lead in the third quarter, but only by a point.  Flandreau led 30-22 going into the fourth quarter.  The second quarter the Fliers used to win the game was the fourth quarter when they outscored Tri-Valley 16-9 to secure the win.

The Mustangs shot 23% (11-47) overall in the game, 19% (5-27) from three-point area, and just 4-13 from the free-throw line.  Flandreau shot 35% (14-40) overall, 17% (2-12) on three-point shots, and 73% (16-22) from the free-throw line.

Mattie Huwe finished with eight points, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Izzy Davey also had eight points with six steals.  Hailey Sorenson had six points, six rebounds, and three steals.  Madelyn Wenzel ended with six points and three rebounds.  Kadence Davey had three points, four rebounds, and four steals.
