Mustang Boys Suffer Road Loss to Baltic

The Tri-Valley Mustangs hit the road on Monday, February 25th to Baltic for a Region 3A game against the Bulldogs.  Baltic took the lead in the second quarter and lead throughout the entire second half in a 65-41 win.

Tri-Valley had the lead for most of the first half.  The Mustangs led 16-13 at the end of the first quarter.  They scored the first two points of the second quarter for an 18-13 advantage.  Baltic then finished the half on a 17-3 run for a 30-21 halftime lead.  The Bulldogs continued their run in the second half.  Baltic outscored Tri-Valley 19-10 in the third quarter and led 49-31 going into the fourth quarter.

Tri-Valley shot 33% (17-52) overall, 22% (6-27) on three-point shots, and 1-2 from the free-throw line.  The Bulldogs shot 51% (26-51) overall in the game, 35% (8-23) from three-point area, and 5-7 from the free-throw line.

Brady Jewett finished with 13 points, six rebounds, and two assists.  Landon Hughes had eight points, five rebounds, and two assists.  Teagin Gacke also had eight points with two rebounds and two steals.  Ty Oyen had four points, four rebounds, and three assists.  Alex Wingen ended with four points and three rebounds.  Kobe Krobe had two points and three rebounds.
