Mustang Boys Suffer Loss on New Home Floor

The Tri-Valley Mustangs hosted the Vermillion Tanagers in their first home game in the new gym at Tri-Valley High School on Friday, January 3rd.  Vermillion, however, cruised to an 84-56 win.

The Tanagers didn’t waste time putting points on the board.  Vermillion scored 25 points in the opening quarter and led 25-13 by the end.  They extended the lead to 46-25 by halftime.  Vermillion continued to build on the lead in the second half.  They lead 68-42 going into the final quarter and outscored the Mustangs 16-14 in the final quarter.

Teagin Gacke had 15 points and five rebounds.  Ty Oyen finished with 13 points, six rebounds, and two assists.  Brady Jewett added 12 points and four assists.  Tristen Bunde had eight points and four rebounds.  Aiden Bunde tallied six points and two rebounds.
