The Tri-Valley Mustang football team suffered a 39-0 road loss in Lennox on Friday, September 11th in a game that also featured a long weather delay in the first half.
The Orioles scored two times in the opening quarter. Lennox had an eight-yard touchdown run to take a 6-0 lead. They added another score on a 20-yard touchdown pass later in the quarter to extend the lead to 12-0. The score remained 12-0 at the end of the first quarter.
Early in the second quarter, the game hit the weather delay. The delay lasted an hour and thirty-eight minutes. After the game resumed, Lennox scored two more times before halftime. They had a four-yard touchdown run followed by a two-point conversion. Lennox had a 16-yard touchdown pass before halftime. The Orioles led 26-0.
Neither team scored in the third quarter, but Lennox put the game away in the fourth. Just seconds into the fourth quarter, Lennox had a two-yard touchdown pass and then an extra point to extend the lead to 33-0. The Orioles added a 23-yard touchdown late in the game for the 39-0 final score.
