Huskies Lead Start to Finish in Win over Mustang Boys

The Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies led start to finish in a 55-36 win over the Tri-Valley Mustang boys on Thursday, January 30th.

The Huskies got out to a 17-9 lead by the end of the first quarter.  They extended the lead to 29-18 by halftime.  Elk Point-Jefferson increased their lead by three points in the third quarter and led 44-30 going into the fourth quarter.  The Huskies had a game-high 21 point lead with 6:15 to play in the game.

Tri-Valley shot 35% (16-46) overall, 14% (3-21) from three-point area, and 20% (1-5) from the free-throw line.  Elk Point-Jefferson shot 54% (22-41) overall in the game, 47% (7-15) from three-point area, and 31% (4-13) from the free-throw line.

Ty Oyen had 10 points, two rebounds, and three steals.  Brady Jewett finished with seven points and eight rebounds.  Mason Hemme had six points.  Tristen Bunde had five points and four rebounds.
