Hoops Unkind to Tri-Valley Boys at Conference Clash

The hoops were unkind to the Tri-Valley Mustangs at the Dak-12/NEC Conference Clash in Madison on Saturday, February 1st.  The Sisseton Redmen took the win 50-44 over the Mustangs.  Tri-Valley shot just 29% (14-49) overall in the game, 18% (4-22) on three-point attempts, and 57% (12-21) from the free-throw line.

Sisseton held a three-point lead, 14-11, at the end of the first quarter.  The Mustangs were held to just five points in the second quarter, and the Redmen extended their lead to 24-16 by halftime.  Sisseton maintained their lead in the third quarter and led 40-30 going into the fourth quarter.  Tri-Valley tried to rally late in the game, but the rally fell short.

Ty Oyen finished with 12 points in the game.  Brady Jewitt had nine points and four rebounds.  Alex Wingen added seven points and three rebounds.
