Cole Hendrixson brought home second place, and Isaac Nehlich placed fifth for the Tri-Valley Mustangs at the 2023 South Dakota Class B State Wrestling Tournament in Rapid City Thursday, February 23rd through Saturday, February 25th.
Hendrixson (113-pound) had two decision wins and a pin going into the championship match against Tray Weiss of Custer. Hendrixson, however, fell to Weiss by a 9-1 major decision. Nehlich battled to a fifth place finish in the 285-pound class with three pins and a decision win.
Brody Dybvig (138) had a pin at the tournament. Treyson Richter (126), Landyn Reiser (160), and Madison Hendrickson (170) all had one decision win in their matches at state.
