Chargers Get Home Win over Tri-Valley Girls

The Sioux Falls Christian Chargers took a quick first quarter lead and kept going from there in a 69-41 win over the Tri-Valley Mustangs (7-10) on Tuesday, February 7th.

The Chargers held a 20-7 lead at the end of the first quarter and then extended it to 41-17 by halftime.  Tri-Valley hung with the Chargers in the third quarter, but still trailed 56-30 heading into the final quarter of play.

Tri-Valley shot 32% (12-38) from the field, 21% (3-14) from three-point area, and 78% (14-18) from the free-throw line.  Sioux Falls Christian shot 48% (27-56) overall, 32% (7-22) on three-point shots, and 67% (8-12) from the free-throw line.  The Charger defense also had 13 steals in the game.

Lauren Grinde had 13 points, three rebounds, and two steals.  Ava Pearson finished with eight points and four rebounds.  Mattie Huwe added six points and three rebounds.  Steph Buchmann had five points and five rebounds.
