The Tri-Valley Mustangs hosted the Lennox Orioles in football action on Friday, October 17th. The Orioles used a big first half to help them to a 41-0 win.
Lennox scored with 9:46 to go in the opening quarter on a big 69-yard touchdown run. The made extra point put the Orioles ahead 7-0. They would score again with 4:09 to play in the quarter on an eight-yard run. The extra point was good, and Lennox led 14-0.
The Orioles delivered the big blow in the second quarter. Lennox scored three times in the quarter. The first touchdown was a 10-yard pass on fourth down. They would score again on a three-yard touchdown pass later in the quarter. The Orioles added one more score with just :02 left on the clock on a five-yard pass. Two of three extra points were made, and the Orioles led 34-0 at halftime.
Lennox got their final score of the game with 9:48 to play in the third quarter. This time the touchdown was on a five-yard run. The extra point was made for a 41-0 score. The Orioles finished with 418 yards of total offense while holding Tri-Valley to just 68 yards of offense.
The Mustangs will end the regular season on the road in Canton on Thursday, October 23rd.
