The Tri-Valley Mustangs traveled to Dell Rapids to take on the tough #1 Quarriers on Thursday, September 19th. Dell Rapids won the match in straight sets by scores of 25-4, 25-11, and 25-6.
Dell Rapids got out to quick leads in all three sets. In the opening set, the Quarriers led 7-1 to start. The score was 13-4 before the Quarriers finished the set on a 12-0 run. Dell Rapids started the second set on a 5-1 run. The Mustangs cut the lead to two points, 9-7, but the Quarriers extended the lead to 18-10 before winning 25-11. Another fast start by Dell Rapids in the third set put them in front 5-1. The lead grew to 19-3 before the Quarriers won 25-6.
