West Central Holds off Tri-Valley Girls

The Tri-Valley Mustang girls hosted the West Central Trojans on Tuesday, January 30th.  The Mustangs had the lead after the first two quarters of play, but the Trojans ended the game with the 48-44 victory.

Tri-Valley built a four-point lead by the end of the first quarter, 14-10.  They extended that lead by three points in the second quarter and led 27-20 at halftime.  West Central chipped away at the deficit in the third quarter and took the lead late in the third quarter.  The Trojans led 34-33 going into the fourth quarter.  West Central outscored Tri-Valley by three points in the fourth quarter for the win.

Lauren Grinde had 10 points, three rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Elizabeth Davey added nine points, two rebounds, and two assists.  Emery Pearson finished with eight points and seven rebounds.  Mattie Huwe and Madelyn Wenzel both had seven points each.  Huwe had four rebounds and three assists.  Wenzel added six rebounds and three steals.
