Both the Dell Rapids Quarrier boys and girls wrestling teams competed at the Floyd Farrand Invitational held at Sioux Falls Lincoln. The boys tournament was on Thursday, December 29th, and the girls tournament was held on Friday, December 30th.
The Quarrier boys team finished 17th with a total of 39.5 points. Twenty teams participated in the tournament this year.
John Mortrude (132) had a fifth place finish with a 4-2 record. Aiden Geraets (195) was sixth with a 3-3 record. Quinn Carr (182) placed seventh with a 4-2 record. Breck Evans (120) and Ryler Evans (182) finished 1-2. Cale Roach (106), Kane Murphy (145), Gabe Clark (152), and Brandon Schmidt (220) all finished 0-2.
The Dell Rapids girls team was 11th with 40 points. Twenty teams also participated in the girls tournament.
Rylee Bird placed second with a 2-1 record. Mikayla Hight had a sixth place finish with a 2-3 record. Bailey Credeur finished seventh with a 3-2 record. Chloe Staskwicz finished 0-2.
